Statement of Faith

Article 1 – The Trinity

We believe in the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three unique persons, one God.

  • God the Father is the creator and sustainer of life. God the Father is all powerful, all knowing, and all present. The Father is love. He is completely good.
  • The Son of God, Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Jesus is fully God and became fully man, born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus lived among men. He was crucified on the cross, died and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death. He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth, His enemies are under his feet. It is by His blood we are redeemed, cleansed, and restored. There is nothing He cannot redeem.
  • God the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. Upon salvation, Holy Spirit lives in the heart of the believer and produces the Fruit of the Spirit. Holy Spirit empowers the Church through spiritual gifts. He fills and refills us with the power and presence of God to accomplish the good works God prepared for us in advance for His glory.

    Article 2 – God’s Word

We believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word and was written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. All Scripture in the Bible is useful for teaching and training believers. God speaks to His people through the Bible and by His Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the authoritative standard all believers rise to.

    Article 3 – Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to any who believe and confess Jesus Christ is Lord and express that faith through action. No one can come to Jesus unless first drawn by the Spirit of God. Salvation comes only through the grace of God and personal relationship with Christ. Salvation cannot be achieved through personal actions, but is evidenced through an active life faithfully committed to Christ to the end. In Christ, each person has a fresh start as a new creation, their past has no hold over them

Article 4 – Body of Christ

The primary purpose for the Church is to worship Christ in spirit and truth, equip the saints for works of ministry, share the Gospel with those who do not know Him, and establish His kingdom in the hearts of the people. We promote unity in the body of Christ by encouraging, equipping, and engaging one another. We believe in the continued offices of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors for the equipping of the Church and that all of God’s people participate in ministry and discipleship. We love and serve one another as Christ loves and serves us.

    Article 5 – Sacraments

We believe in the communion of the saints, the remission of sins by the blood of Jesus, the baptism of repentance through water, the baptism of fire through the Holy Spirit. We believe God made man and woman in His image and stand by the Biblical marriage covenant.

    Article 6 – Eternity

We believe heaven and hell are real places described by Jesus. Those who are not in relationship with Christ in life are condemned to eternal hell and eternal separation, and those who are in relationship with Christ in life will inherit eternal life by ascending to heaven to spend eternity with God in heaven.
